Enchanting emerald lakes

I camped up at a nice site and spent the day at Plitvička Jezera UNESCO recognised national park. All I can say is that I am astounded! It’s a chain of beautiful emerald lakes feeding each other via enchanting waterfalls for what seems like miles. The Croats have an absolute diamond of nature here and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Go a little out of season though, even in the winter when the waterfalls are frozen in a spectacular fashion. It felt like I walked about 5 miles today and burnt through 3 camera batteries but wow, it was so worth it.
